alright.

was just wondering which would be best for a 998 with a 12g295 head and 1.5 rockers

a hif 38 or 44 and why?

I would go for the HIF38 simply because i've found they are easier to find, and cheaper than HIF44's... but also because the HIF38 was fitted to some 998's as standard.

however, with a 295 head the HIF44 might be able to give you that little extra juice, Not sure if carb choice will eliminate the lumpiness you'll experience on a small bore with 1.5's on, they tend to sacrifice low end torque in favour of a tiny amount of vroom top end.

cheers retro 10s - yeah im still not sure bout 1.5 rockers or not? this plan is still in the pipework
