Well if your talking about a Mini 30, then it'll run very happily on 95 Ron Unleaded, since it was blessed with hardened inserts when first manufactured.

I've heard lots of views that using better quality petrol makes your Mini run better and so it might be worth avoiding cheap supermarket fuel.

I've never tried using Super Unleaded myself, but i've also heard older Minis seem to run very well on this. But it's unlikely you'll notice any real difference since your Mini was designed to run on standard 95 Ron Unleaded.

I only ever ran on Shell Optimax (now re-badged as V-power) Keeps your engine nice and clean and helps smoother running. it has an amount of detergents and other chemicals in to promote cleaner burning etc....

My clubby loved it, gave my 1098 a little more 'get up and go'.

Stay away from supermarket petrol, it contains grit, if you've got a fuel filter, you'll see what IU mean.

I did a wee test in the summer.

I tried tesco fuel, shell v-power, bp ultimate and texaco normal. This was in my seat ibiza and i noticed no performance difference or MPG so i just buy whatever fuel i find at the time.

Some people swear by the higher RON fuels, but to me i never noticed the difference.
