How many litres in a gallon?

Hi all

How many litres are in a gallon? Really after the amount in a 3/4 full 7 gallon petrol tank.

1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres

4.54 litres I think

A US gallon is more like 3.8 from memory

*googles it*

1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres

1 US gallon = 3.7854118 litres

4.54 L per gallon

thats what i use anyway, not googled like jordie ( :withstupid:

) but close enough to be useable

7 gallon is around 900 tablespoons....if that helps

i measure volume with either tablespoons or mouthfulls, length with sausages.

eg. a mini has the length of 25 sausages

Yep

Was going to get a 10 bottle case of millers octain boost to run with either shells v-power of tesco 99RON fuel and was wondering what i would need to put in and how far a bottle would go.

I dont fill it up because if i do it over fills down the side of the car as im driving and as i drive so quick and due to air friction on the outside of the car, im worried about it catching fire!!
