Right in future I would like to put a sub in the boot. Nothing expensive. What size would be best?? 10"?? Also could you recomend a decent sub and amp to get thats not to expensive. My mate has a cheap SPLX one and it sounds quite good suprisingly. Also what size box will I need to make and is it O.K to have the sub facing out of the boot?? Thanks in advance.

if you hav'nt got much money go for either a 10 or 12 inch pioneer/kenwood. You can pick these up for around 50quid and with a suitable box are more than up to the job of rattling you're mirrors. As for an amp get something like a single channel alpine or kenwood as they are better than a bridged two channel. Alternatively bass junkies do a number of package deals for less than 150 notes.

they start around 100 quid for a mono, not the cheapest i know but if you compare it to one of those sh!tty XS amps or something of equal rubbishness you'll realise you get what you pay for. I had a cheap 480watt mosfet amp a couple of years back and i took it back about 4 times (each time it had blown). In the end i spent 150 quid on a mono kenwood amp and am still using it now 4 years down the line.

you could get this alpine amp from bass junkies its a 700watt mono amp which actually gives 200RMS at 4ohm and 350RMS at 2 ohm, and at only £105 it aint bad either. Also with it being a mono amp its better than a bridged 2 channel and is also geared up for running subs better.
