You might also want to check the tie-rods. They often get bent through careless jacking - it is conceivable that a wonky tie-rod might cause strange handling. That said, the back end of the car is still the most likely cause.
I presume the car hasn't been in any kind of serious accident? I only ask because Mini's have such a low centre of gravity and generate so much mechanical grip, spinning one (in my experience, at least) is actually quite hard to do in normal driving conditions. I'd have thought that, apart from having bald rear tyres on a wet road, you would need something seriously wrong to regularly spin your car. I presume here of course that you aren't attempting to negotiate mini-roundabouts at 90mph...

it's been in one accident and that was with a lamppost and it bent the front subframe and the o/s front wing, don't know if it did any further damage, the tracking has been looked out can't say off the top of my head what it was set to will find out
