Whats the thread size?

i need to know the thread size on the discs i have they are standard 8.4" ones.

i need some bolts to mount the discs on the drive flange.

best get them from a dealer

the torque for these bolts is higher than the normanl bolt. for safety reasons, but i think they are 5/16UNF, or 3/8 if you used a 1/2 socket then there 5/16 if you used a 9/16 then there 3/8UNF.

i know they have a higher torque setting but surely they are just high tensile bolts. dealers arent going to have special bolts are they??!

but i think they are 5/16UNF, or 3/8 if you used a 1/2 socket then there 5/16 if you used a 9/16 then there 3/8UNF.


does that make sense?? im very confused could you explain it again please?

if the bolt head is a 1/2" socket, the thread will be 5/16UNF

if the bolt head is a 9/16" socket, the thread will be 3/8UNF

3/8UNF but be sure, i've come across some nasty M10 metric fine thread ones there too!! i think they are more metro fitment tho, just so u are aware!!

ill be sure to get high tensile ones.

ive got some metric nuts/bolts lying around at home so ill check if its 10 mm but i doubt it will be.
