Im just trying to sort the wiring to my steel flip front and wondered whar was the best type of connector to use so it is totally removable...??
What have u guys used and do u have any pics?

use the plugs that you use for trailors u know the ones i mean? perfect for the job

Do u mean the big round jobbies?
Arent these a bit big?
Will they deal with the heat (its a turbo engine)
Isnt there anything a bit more discreet?

used to run a trailer plug and socket on my old turbo and it was fine. you aint gonna be mounting it on the turbo so heat won't be an issue.

I found a much smaller waterproof plug to use on mine which has been great ! Will try and find the details !

They are by far the neatest solution i have yet come across, and i have never had any problems with water ingress or bad connections... You can also just about squeeze heavy duty trailer cable into one, to make the wiring even neater...

I don't think it was exactly the ones shown in this pdf but something very similar !!!
Have a look at PX0800 & PX0801

It all depends where you are breaking the link ! Some people do it right back at the bulkhead and use a panel mounted socket and a plug. I've done it just behind the grill and so used an inline connector !

i have just bought the trailor plug type 7 pin going to mount to the bulkhead dont look too bad
got home tried to sort the wires out and found 9 wires
do you have to put a couple of wires together?
also while im here why is there two lots of wires for each indicator
