yeah it would be far easier to get a house stereo, the kind of ampage you'd need to run all that would be huge and high ampage transformers are very expensive.
For what you're looking at buying you'd be well into £800 now look at what you can get for you're house for that.

If you want something good then look at dj equipment like these.

speaker

amp

cd player

dab tuner

hmm yes. but i believe that car speakers run a different resistance to normal house hi-fi systems. so im not too sure what you would do Amp wise. for a good system you will need

A good amplifier (cambridge audio are good, ive got one, quite powerful)
A good CD/MD deck, technics, cambridge audio, TEAC etc
Good set of speakers, (Mission, Maudaunt Short etc)
Interconnects (phono cables, must be good, as its what carries the digital signal from cd to amp)
good speaker cable, my stuff cost seven quid a metre, its mint
finally, if you want to get real technical, find an good acoustic area in which to put it, a sound system will only sound as good as the room its in.

speaker spikes are a good idea too.

Yep. But you're still better off using proper speakers.

Cambridge is good stuff.

Speakers: http://www.richersou...tl.php&p=205793 : £109.95
Celestion are exceptional speakers.

Or you could go for one of their pre-made packages...

If you are after something for your comp, and you have the room, go for something like this!!

Posted Image

That is a sony 4 x something amp, running 2 x jamo home speakers, with other little speakers in it, for treble etc. the bass is nice, and the quality is very good, not bad for free eh?!? got a 5 cd changer with it aswel.

My bro is running a NAD cd player, and NAD amp which powers 2 B & W speakers, cost him his student loan, but worth every penny!

Your best bet is to go for some mid entry good make stuff, sony, denon, with some decent speakers, much much better than crappy PC 5watt speakers anyways!!

You can also set up a 5.1 surround, you will need the sound card, and 2 amps, 4 speakers! but is true cinematic experience when playing games like doom 3, project IGI II etc...
