Hi
I did a quick search and couldn't find what i was looking for, I'm replacing my rear radius arms on 86 Mayfair, as the rear end is going to be in bits i thought it was a prime opportunity to upgrade the standard shocks and adjust ride height, i am a novice to this, what does everyone recommend for best handling and adjustable ride height??
thanks

I bought this

Allows you to adjust the ride height of the car for each corner, as well as the damping effect of each damper. The hi-los are the original and best type, there are loads of other inferior ones around. As far as I know minispares and DSN both sell the correct type.

for adjustable ride height get adjustable trumpets. i have no experience of these but they allow you to easily change the ride height. im sure someone will recommend where to get them from.

ive just changed from std cooper shocks(black mankey things) to AVO dampers,

i used to have problems with body roll round corners before changing, then the problems was grip with tyres, just sorted with a set of yoko 048r's

definetly reccomended although watch out for the potholes much more bumpy, id say atleast 2times the stiffness of the old dampers on the 'softest' setting!

sheffields roads are just as bad if not worse!

are coilovers adjustable or do you have to change the 'lb' spring like my bike shocker?

id say the performance dampers are great if its used for what ther for, ive never used them but id say the uprated kyb or even the budget shockers are more siuted to bumpy roads and every day driving.

saying that i wouldn change my AVO for anythin!
