My SPi Cooper came with some nasty Renault 5 GT Turbo seats which I removed today hoping that I could fit some standard SPi seats back in but it seems the old seats were just fitted by bolting the renault subrame through the floor at the back and onto some custom brackets at the front which means there is nothing to fit my standard seats to

Here is a photo of the brackets, what I need to know is what do I need to do to fit the standard seats back in, any pictures etc would be very helpful!

hi, the mini seat brackets go on the front of the crossmember, ( the side nearest the pedals) there should be some holes there ready for you to bolt some standard seat brackets onto

Brilliant found the captive nuts! Where can I get these brackets from?

What about the rear? does the seat frame just rest on the carpet?

I don't seem to have any of these, so thr rear of the seat fits into some kind of hoop, not on the carpet, i'm confused now.. pics would help me

I might be able to help with the fittings, will have to have a look in the garage at the weekend. I should have four spare fixing brackets for the front of the crossmember and also the 'hoop' that the seat clips into on the floor.
