Hi all,
I am to be replacing the fuel line from the fuel tank down through the boot floor to the first copper pipe section. I would also like to fit an inline fuel filter - is there a best / worst place to fit one of these? It's one of the cheapy plastic ones. I was going to put it in the boot just after the tank, within the section of hose that I'll be replacing, unless there's a reason that that's a bad idea..?
Cheers

Good a place as any. Just make sure it's in a safe place that's easy to get to for servicing. It's good to retain it too so it doesn't move about.

Agree as good a place as any but a word of caution, I used to have one of those cheap plastic filters until it collapsed internally and blocked the fuel pipe

I got one of the glass/chrome B) tube ones from minispares and fitted just before the carb. Got a clip on connector that screws into the bulkhead. Looks really good as well

Most modern cars have them under the bonnet, usually attached to the bulkhead, probably the best place for it.
