Pump The Grease In With A Grease Gun Until It Starts To Squish Out From The Nipple.

Yes you are, if you are doing it properly it shouldn't come back through the nipple. You need to know it is right through the tube. Sometimes it won't come out of one end nomatter how hard you try and in that case you should stop but it needs to get as far as the inboard rubber really. It takes quite a lot if they are clean arms, can be about half a pound sometimes. It depends on how good a fit the grease tube is and if it's cracked or not. Don't go crazy and keep pumping if loads (over a pound) is going in, in that case the tube is probably cracked.

If the grease don't come out you should try ones that my Dad uses. They do I believe 400 odd psi of pressure. Did know the make but that knolege has left me.
