They are definitely shells, big end ones at that. If you are going to flog em, try to see if there is anything like +0.010, +0.020 or +0.030 on them, you will sell them better if you know whether they are standard thickness or thicker for reground crank journals.

Not sure about the mirror though.

lol gav.... yeah i forgot my reflection would show up :)

On the end of the shells, they have .010 austin, morris, mg, riley, wolseley

So im guessing this is a clue as to what engine they go in??

Also reckon their worth putting on ebay, or are they pretty much worthless??

Not worhtless but not worth all that much. They are 10 though oversize for use after a regrind.

As for the mirror, I don't think wing mirrors were ever a standard fit. Before door mirrors were introduced they were optional extras so it's not strictly mark 2, it's just a wing mirror. The same mirror would have been fitted to a great many cars.

MKI and MKII Mini Estates had wing mounted mirrors as standard but they were generally of the round glass type:-

Little known fact, that guy in the photo wearing the wig (obviously someone mentioned that the publicity department were coming around taking photos that day) with his head under the bonnet actually used his belly to fit the wing mirror stalks as you can see. He leans over the wing and as if by magic a stalk appears, clever stuff.
