Prob a really stupid question... but is the alloy rocker cover tou can buy for A series engines compatable with the MPI engine ??? thanks!

UNLESS theres some sort of sensor in the rocker cover then I think you can switch them out.

I believe the rocker cover on Twin-Point/MPi Minis, is much the same as that fitted to SPi and later carburettor Minis too.
I've heard that their vented though (probably the oil filler cap on top?) and fitting an alloy rocker cover with a chrome filler cap (or whatever) can cause problems because it's not vented. I think you will probably have to drill a hole and fit some kind of breather, or use a standard oil filler cap?

yeah, all the alloys rocker covers remove the breather from the system.
Always wondered what that did for the engine.

Dont think the rocker cover on mine has a breather... ill buy one and find out ! lol thanks anyways !

All Mini rocker covers are vented, the cap is the vent. It contains a filter and the chrome ones do too. The plastic cap is supposed to be replaced anually at service time to keep the filter clear, it is the flow metering control for the crankcase breather system.
