I was wondering if there was an ultimate steady thing that gave me access to my No.11 stud. The one i have at the mo is kind of square in shape and one of the manifold bolts holds in on at the back. The whole thing covers the 11th stud and the only way to torque up the head is removing it all.
Can i buy a bracket with a recess or someting cut into so i can tighten the stud with the steady in situ?
Thanks
Johnny

could just hack a bit out of the steady. Bit of grinding and done, be simple to do.

i've seen a steady, the top plate that attached to the thermostat had a hole in the middle for that very reason, dont know if it was modified or purchased like it tho!

johnnysti, send it my way. I'll do two 10mm holes, connect with a jigsaw cut then cut to the side to make a slot.
be quick and painless......I mean simple.
