im fitting hi-lows to my mini, (yet to be bought) i was going to use the current cones as there in a good state, but feel whiles its all out maybe a upgrade would be good.

ive seen posts on this before but just cant find them so here goes,....

is there much difference between standard cones to for example the cones in the link above? would it be worth upgrading? (yes the shocks will be changed too once ive worked out how high the car will be sitting.

Good luck getting them Mark. I was talking about these a while back and our car was supposed to be using them an the 'Ring last year but Mini Spares were out of stock and still are (I sincerely hope they still are anyway because I've had them on back order for several months and haven't been contacted, I WILL get angry if they haven't told me). This is one of those parts that Mini Spares list in their books and sounds great but they NEVER have any in.

I asked loads of times before deciding to order some whether or not anyone had any experience with them and no-one spoke up so I just went for it. Shame I couldn't get them.

I've got some  . Sorry, hope they get it sorted Dan, got mine ages ago, cant remember if they are the red or yellow dot ones though.

Mark- spend the money on making it faster! Cant actually answer your question but if anyone has anything relevant i'd like to hear it too.

How about the minitastic springs Mark? I still havent found anyone who has fitted these, so I dont know how good they really are, but its worth a look.

i thought about springs too...but they seem to be more for 13s, and are supposed to be great with antiroll bars.

but rubber cones are what makes driving a mini fun!

so no real answers about the type of rubber cones in hand over the standard cones then?

the springs i too have looked at, see some on Ebay went cheep too, but wasn't 100% and decided to not bother,

what to do.

they must be good then if there always sold out... or they don't sell any so never get any in....

even still what is the advantages of the upgraded ones, i guess there going to be better as maybe stiffer for cornering?
