Green puddle...

I've just come back to my parked mini to find a puddle of bright green, greasy water under my car, just under the front right (standing in front of the car looking at it) of the engine bay, I would say below the front of the radiator (side mounted, not front mounted). The car has only been parked for 3 hours since I drove into work this morning (15 minute town & hard/fast a-road drive). I thought it might be coolant coming from the radiator but every other time i've seen leaked coolant it's been brown from C**p in the engine, but this is bright green! I know antifreeze can be green, but surely it would take a huge amount of antifreeze for it to look like this.. I mean there's no brown in the puddle, the colour isn't at all murky it's just... green! A bit like watered-down Swarfega...
Any ideas?

If so, it could be fluid from that.
Other than that, you can get green coloured coolants, poke yer nose under the car and try to see where it's coming from.

It's a standard '87 998 mayfair, so no hydrolastic. It's most definately not screenwash either!
I did check the water and it was a little low so I topped it up, it took about a pint. My main thought is that it's coolant but i've never seen it green before! As far as I'm aware the coolant system hasn't been fully drained for as long as I've had it (several years) so the water is in no way fresh, so I'd imagine it would be brown...

Are you sure it wasn't already there when you parked?
PS. 3 years! Change that coolant man!

Here comes the silly question but...
Are you sure it wasn't already there when you parked?
PS. 3 years! Change that coolant man!
Yeah, I'm the only person who parks there and it wasn't there yesterday!
It's more like just over 2 years but yeah I agree, it's a job that needs doing (in summer I think!)
Cheers, Nick

Green coolant it expensive/good mostly. It actually helps cool the water rather than just stop it freezing.
Check your big bottom rad hose, and heater take offs on the head.
