my enigne sometimes cuts out when you accelerate only very quickly then it jolts forward. which isn't doint my already struggling engine stabilisers any good. any i deas why??

Put some oil in the dashpot and then replace all the electrics (unless they've been renewed lately of course?) like the HT Leads, Distributor Cap, Rotor Arm, Contact Breaker Points, Condensor and of course the Spark Plugs.
Check that the manifold nuts are tight and that all the breather hoses are connected and not kinked or split too.
Treat it to a full service too if it's due.
