mine did this. it turns out the bit on the bottom of the carb had bent. so check your carb is in workin order.

just to recap i can go out on a 5 mile jorney and it will be fine, and another day i will do the same and it will start to judder and jolt.
I can't see how a carb/fuelling problem could be causing it to be honest

well if you've definatly tested everything else that's all that's left....

I've not tested everything yet and was just asking what else i could check...
I changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm this morning and i'll see how that goes but if not i'm going to have to go and get a new condenser and points, which halfords say they don't have on the shelf anymore so its going to have to be ordered!
