Something from Fusion Motorsport here http://www.fusionvid...dave/index.html about a 1.4 'Sport' Micra,
aiming for 230-240bhp. It looks totally chavvy to start with but then the engineering begins to look interesting. I think :X :( Sorry if it's the wrong slot for this.

Some good work.

It kinda worries me though as he says at the 5 min mark that he is going to see how it runs with cam shafts. Surely it has at least one already :X :(

I couldn't help thinking; why not spend the money on a fast car in the first place? He could have spunked all that money on a scooby, as this is obivously what he is trying to make his micra look like.

thats NIS on Sxoc.co.uk and MSC.

It seems very nippy indeed. But I do wonder why he spent all the money on that.

"its only a micra" i agree... but the same can be said about minis... each to their own.

:ermm:

EDIT -

I work with someone whos undergoing a 998cc Turbo micra project. £5000-and-counting.

Dave, i couldn't see any disk brakes on the rear, please tell me it does :ermm:
Also, from the front with that bodykit and bonnet scoop, it looks like a little subaru.

Would it not over brake the rear having discs on it? Surely the only advantage would be weight reduction over drums?

my dad has a 1990 micra, a boxy little thing, but it does the job and has never broken down from silly things. just a transmission failure. only rust is around the rear sills and wheel arch. I think it's cooler than that little chavmachine, no offense to the owner. EDIT: it's a subied out, and then he has a GTR (from a skyline) badge on it...???????? doesn't make sense to me, though it's a quick little thing, has to get respect for that. back seems too high comparatively to the side and front.

Is there such a thing as 'over braking'? i'd rather have disks all round then a disk/drum setup!

No one bothers with disc on the back of a mini, no matter what power the engine is putting out (or more importantly, how heavy the car is).

I'm talking about if I owned that micra, not the mini :w00t: with 250Bhp i'd invest in having the rears converted with an adjustable brake biased system.
If i had to slam the brakes on, i wouldn't want 90% braking force at the front! especially if you have to swerve.

Meh, I suppose if its a readily availble and cheap ish (compared to KADs rear discs) then I guess I would upgrade too. But even KAD say, at least on a mini (and a Micra isn't a million miles away) that the rear brakes really don't do much braking, and they'll tell you that their rear disc conversion is about saving weight and not gaining more braking power.

I hope he's got good quality big front brakes though.

After watching the vid I'm not that impressed really. I would have thought Europe's fastest Micra would have more power than that, especially since there are quite a number of minis with more power! I guess no one bothers with Micras though, so its not hard to have the most powerful one!

And dam I hate it when a car has side skirts lower than the back bumper!!
