Firstly the reason i am taking it out is because i think it is blowing past the pistons and pressurising the crabk case thus forcing the oil out of the sump. not all of it mind just leaks oil alot but still runs sweet and the gearbox has never given me any trouble in 32k.
it has bin leaking oil oil for about 4 weeks with me still daily driveng 15 mile to work and 15 mile back with no prob at all apart from the quite abvious oil leak.
This engine would be ideal for a rebore if it is leaking past the pistons as other than that it has been a trooper and never missed or foulded a gear in the 2 years i have had it in the mini.
was basically just wondering what interest ne one here would have before i take it out and put it on ebay. ( u know how that is).
p.s please move this if it is not in correct forum as im not sure where i was meant to be writing.
cheers..
this is a repeat post as someone showed interest but no reply.

Is it complete? carb, both manifolds, disty, starter, coil, rad, etc. i.e. if it wasn't for the leak you could put it in a bare car & drive away.

it has inlet manifold and carb, the exhaust manifold is an mg metro one as the mini one is still on my mini. the thermostat housing is also metro as that is on my mini as is the rad. other than that yes it is complete with dizzy, leads, starter etc. the engine could still be driven even with the leak as it does not drop all the oil out. ie when the oil level gets to a certain point (just under min on dip stick) it seems to hold there as i pressume there is not enough pressure in the crank case to force this oil out.
cheers.

sorry I'm out, bit too much if you don't mind me saying with all the problems & parts missing, but that is just my opinion. Is it complete? carb, both manifolds, disty, starter, coil, rad, etc. i.e. if it wasn't for the leak you could put it in a bare car & drive away.
