I recently got given an in-car cd player, 10 disc cd player and an amp for nada...

I want to start fitting it soon so i was wondering...

How/Where have you mounted your cd player?

Pics and tips would be greatly appreciated...

P.S. I'm new to mini's (cars in general, im 16!) and rubbish at electrics so lamen talk would also be appreciated

The CD player can be mounted in various places. People on here have even mounted their Head unit underneath the passenger seat for security.
Not my cuppa tea, But its safer I guess.

The cheap route would be to get a Under dash CD player housing, can get them from any mini spares place for about a fiver. It mounts underneath the Dash rail on the passenger side.

Another idea would be to buy/build a center console, and chuck it in there. Like I did.

A good alternative if you want to run Center speedo!


Other than that, theres the most popular choice, The dashboard.
I had a dash mounted Sterio in my first two minis.

im not very good with electronics as i previously stated, the presence of an aerial.. and so ive been told, speakers under the back seats (although ive yet to look myself) i am led to believe there had previously been a cd player/radio within the mini. How easy is it to run the electrics to the dash?
