Is there any ingenious solution for fitting mudflaps that doesn't require drilling so many holes in the body? I've been thinking about it but I can't come up with anything...

Alternatively, what measures could I take to reduce risk of corrosion in the screw holes? Obviously paint the holes and get some waxoyl round there...would it be a good idea to seal the flaps to the body to try to prevent water/C**p from getting trapped between the mudflaps and the bodywork?

dont think there is any way around it

just dril the holes add some touch up paint to the bare metal

then bolt them on with stainless bolts

Thanks  I decided to cut them back a bit so I didn't have to drill holes in the arch itself (couldn't bring myself to do it!). I just screwed them to the vertical panels welded on the front of the rear valance. I painted the holes (you know what I mean), and am going to use stainless screws. Also going to bung a load of waxoyl between body/mudflaps and in the rear valance corner sections.
