hey ive been recenly having knocking noises coming from down near the pedal area, it aint asmall knocking noise itz quite aloud one, it only happens when i change gear quickly, slow down quickly, or go over bumpy roads, ive checked around the pedal and had alook under the car but i cant seem to see any thing that could be tapping or anything that could be loose so what could it be can anyone help, many thanx

engine mounts perhaps? didnt you have a problem with them before lee?

well the engine moved alot but that was only the fact that the engine steady that was nakerd witch the bloke at the mini-farm kindly re-placed for me, but it doesnt seem to sound like an engine mount but i could be wrong

ill have to give an aruddy good check over monday then, how many engine mounts are there because i know there is 2 at the bottom back of the subframe but i dont know if there is anymore i should check

there the engine steady at the top, the bar going to the bulk head and there the subframe mounts to the floor on both sides, should be a 1 piece mount, if its in 2 thenthe rubbers perished and gone!

how many engine mounts are there because i know there is 2 at the bottom back of the subframe but i dont know if there is anymore i should check

their subframe mounts not engine mounts

there are 2 engine mounts one either end of the engine one under the rad bracket one under the clutch house

sounds like you exhaust is hitting the floor check asap if broken engine mount and you keep driving can damage exhaust

Could be split front subframe rear mounts (their under your feet when driving) can give a knocking sound with throttle movement.
