
leaking strombergs

help! i fitted my new exhaust system today and it fired straight up. unfortunately the nearside carburettor is pissing straight out of the air intake opening. WHY??????! has this happened to anyone else? all i want to do is drive the car and now i have a new problem!

Well.....you have just changed to a decent exhaust so the flows going to be different. Might just need tweaking/rolling road.

the angle of the carbs should make the fuel flow into the engine and flood. as to why its going the otherway i am puzzled.Well.....you have just changed to a decent exhaust so the flows going to be different. Might just need tweaking/rolling road.

Strombergs? Perhaps you meant SUs?
Regardless, is the fuel coming out the throat of the carb... or out of the overflow vent on the float bowl?

i have strombergs! su's dont sound as nice on full song! well when they're running properly anyway! they dont have an overflow pipe. its coming out of the throat.Strombergs? Perhaps you meant SUs?
