well theres a really bad squeek coming from the front left, i pushed down and the wing and it squeeks as it goes up and down.

so i assumed it was the shock.

but, looking at the suspension, the ball joint was looking pretty dry of grease.

so went to grease it up, i have free'd the ball in my nipple, but the nip won't accept any grease from the gun, it just pours out the sides.

all other nips are fine.

can i just get a new nip or is it something to do with the ball joint?

Replace the ball joints there no more then a tenner

yes but i am poor. plus i dont kow if it needs replacing. i dont want to replace something that doesnt need doing when i can spend £4 instead of £20

Take the nipple off and give it a good cleaning then try again. Nice and simple.

cool, have to wait till wednesday, its dark now =(

hope it sorts out the problem.

also, does anyone know where i can get like a tube of grease that you can just put in the grease gun? im sick of having to suck grease out of a pot.

You can only use cartridges if your gun is big enough to take one. Most DIY type guns aren't.

Make sure the nipple is tight in its thread and the gun nozzle is fully home and square to the nipple.

I used to heat the nipple up, and then drop it in white spirit, this generally unblocked is striaght away. I also have those littel 'nipple gaurds' bloody useful, stop them getting dirty.

hmmm sounds interesting retro!

the ball moves freely so are we sure its a blockage in the nip?

i mean could it be something in the ball joint or is the nipple the only thing that it could be?
