how can i free siezed ones? do i just unscrew that nut and then take them off and clean them? one of them wont let the wheel turn after the handbrake is let off.

can i do it with the radius arms on the car?

Are you sure it is the quadrant that is stuck and not the brake assembly? If it is the quadrant then this is what i would do. Remove the suspension strut and rubber cone, drop the radius arm right down. Then remove the nut from the quadrant spindle, give a generous coating of wd40 or whatever then give the spindle a gentle tap with a hammer. By dropping the radius arm down you will hopefully be able to get enough room to get a hammer in to tap the spindle!!

Good luck, hope this helps!

PS. Remove the handbrake cable first, otherwise when u drop the radius arm you will most likely break it! (because thats what happened to me - but im an idiot)

yeh defo the quadrant, i have to pull the cable through a bit. and then the wheel will spin.

sounds good, if theres enough room i'll try and take it off, im pretty sure just wd wont do the job, i greased it up proper the other day and that didnt help at all.

thanks mate,

Must admit, i've never seen a quadrant with a nut on it. They usually have a clevis pin that holds the quadrant in, with a washer and split pin through it. These get crudded up very easily over the years. Should be a simple job of removing the pin, knocking the quadrant out and cleaning it all up. Plenty of grease on them before you reassemble as well..
