i started me mini this morning ans was looking at the exhaust from the back, and the back box seems so have a hole/gap/leak, its not a rust hole or somthing like that,is looks to me like its coming out of the seam!

What is the standard back box thingy called? on a standard 998cc mini city?

Also is there anything i can buy like glue of paste or somthing that i can block the gap up with? i think i seen somthing like this in halfords but cant remember exactly?

if its a standard system you might as well replace it with either a new upgraded one or just another standard one and at less than £20 it'd probably only be a little cheaper to bodge it so there isnt much point

my standard exhaust was one piece, so check that. if it is one piece and blowing, u got a hole.

There is exhaust wrap and exhaust paste/cement but i would only use this as a TEMPORARY fix.

Some standard exhaust boxes on Minis had drain holes for the condensate which builds up inside to drain out and hopefully prolong the life of the box by preventing rusting. And some people like to drill drain holes in exhausts for this reason (if they are old fashioned). This could be such a hole, if it passes the MOT (and doesn't make loads of racket) I'd leave it as is.
