i have already said it but i love the look of those miglia race mini's!

just wanted to know a couple of things so i can order some bits and bobs :P

1. What kind of wheels do they use on those minis because they seem to have smaller wheels on the front with a slightly larger set on the back ??
2. How wide are there wheels ?
3. Where can i get some ?
4. I know they use miglia arches but are they standard or wide ?

Basicly i want to make my mini look like a miglia racer that escaped onto the road ! :D

If theres a link to somewhere that details the spec's of the miglia minis then post it here please :D

They generally use 10" all round, and bout 7" or 8" wide. The problem you'll have is getting tyres that wide. You can stretch a 165/70 tyre over a 7" wheel, but it does look stretched, and doesn't quite look the same as the image above. If you go for a thinner wheel then you'll be adding spacers to push the wheel out a bit, and then you'll run into bearing issues if your spacers are excessively thick.

The other problem is, to get the mini that low, they run with hardly any suspension travel, a very hard ride indeed, and not something I'd like to experience on most of Britains public roads!!

Most of the Miglia's run 6.5" - 7" x 10" Spectrum split rims

These are Minispeed ones in 7" x 10" £634.90 (ex VAT) for 4

Minispeed

You can get split rims from here http://www.foxwebsit...n.co.uk/6.html they are £140 each + your choice of tyres.

The arches will depend on rim width but standard Miglia arches should be fine

http://home.freeuk.c...ng/products.htm £48 a set.

Hope this helps

Nothing wrong with rock solid suspension, i had mine set that way for at least 8 months. My step dad could
hardly push down the corners of the car when showing his mates how solid the suspension was. HA HA HA

super low solid suspension is not good for road tyres if your looking for decent handling. its alright on miglias cause they use slicks.

however if your not then start saving!! i cant belive how expensive those rims are!!

very nice tho!

Dave :D

I don't think AF Racing does wheels. Carl makes wheels as Force Racing, but thats already been linked to above.
