if it were me i'd replace the whole pipe, don't really like the idea of unions under the car, only takes one speed bump or rock and you'll have no brakes!

if it were going to hit the union, wouldnt it hit the sump first and exhaust, also i could tuck it inside the swaging of the floor

i just need to know, do i have to remove the subframes to change the whole section??

i think you will because the brake line goes behind it. another option would be to run the brake line inside the car, that way you wouldn't have to take the subbys off!

saying that, i did get my old brake line OUT without taking the subby off, but that was cutting it shorter so i could wiggle it round......

Dave sorry ive not been a massive help

ps, even if you could get a "joiner" type peice, youd still need a pipe flaring kit!

yeah, iv found some one with a flairer, another idea was instead of going behind the subby going round it. the front section doesnt look too hard anyway as long as ill be able to thread the pipe behind the rack and stuff :) internal brake lines sounds cool tho id have the urge to do the same with battery and fuel lines :xxx:|

naa put it internally!! then you wont have to go behind the rack and stuff!! you can also then fit a bias valve :xxx: thats what ive got, ive left the feul and batter lines underneath tho!

Dave

edit : other option, buy lots of braided flexy hosing!!! might cost a bit tho lol

if it were internal id only do braded much better...or in the future with the spare cash.

so now i have 2 ideas without having to drop the subby's and not sure which one but i can tell u its such a relief knowing i dont have to mess about with subbys. still going to take time unforunatly

you can't run braided hoses for the length of the car, the frictional loss and expansion will be so much that the car won't stop. you do really need solid brake lines for the majority, braids only to be used where movement of the brake pipe in unavoidable.
