Well, as you can see I want one of these cars. Preferably a vtech version.
My main question is how much??? Ball park of course.
I will get in touch with chris on Monday to discuss further. Also why so many people here seem to go for the bike engine instead of the Honda.
I'm starting from scratch by the way so no donor car to use. Would one be advised to purchase a brand new shell and send it to Zcars or would I be better off buying a second hand shell somewhere and use that?

Ballpark figures really do vary on here. I would guess around £15,000 to £25,000. Depending on how much you do yourself etc. Good luck with it when you get it though!

i Have also been looking around in the mini scene to see what would be the best area to invest my money in. I have been looking through various threads and i have read a fair few times

But like any conversion or work on any cars, the more you do yourself the cheaper it will be. It also depends where you get your parts from and what parts you chose to use.

Very few have built one for less than £10k, no one actually I don't think. £15k is a more realistic figure, and some have been more than that! Baring in mind though, that nearly all have them have been rebuilt from the ground up.

I believe there are more bike engined conversions purely because thats the kit that has been available the longest. I think we'll start to see more and more Vtecs coming through since they are a great compromise between track and road car.

iv just bought a 2.2 vtec conversion!! but im building it with my mate welding the frame ourselves!! so will be cheap as chips!!!most expensive thing i can see so far in my list is brake sets!!
