removing oil pressure relief valve?

how do i remove the oil pressure relief valve? (standard bullet type not ball bearing)
i have removed the nut and spring but dont see how to get the plunger out! its a bare block so ive turned it over and tryed knocking/taping it and using a long magnet but still cant get it out! am i missing something obvious?! lol!

i normally just stick little finger in there or if you have a wooden valve lapping tool pull of the rubber and is the right dia to push in and should pull out the plunger

should not be stuck

I used a wooden dowel rod... smaller than the diameter of the valve. Then use masking tape to wrap around the end, making it fatter and thicker. Tap it in slowly so that the masking tape should get wedged into the plunger then pull it out!
