Will a A+ series gearbox off my 998 (1989) fit onto a 1275 A+ series block?
What parts, if any, will i need to swap the box over or is it not possible?

Mini gearboxes (in size and shape) are universal. The difference lays in the final drive ratio which is different for a 1275 I do believe.

Best ask guessworks.

final drive ratios are nowt really to do with engine size, all depends on whether you want acceleration or top end (or if you've got the power to pull a longer diff)

think i answered this over on MF but all you'll need to do is use a set of 1275 a+ transfer gears, the 998 primary gear is a different size.
