running on drum brakes and 12 inch wheel on 145 tyres
thing is the passanger side wheel isnt rubbing it is just the drivers side.... although saying that the wheel bearing are knackered badly on the passanger side so that could be why it isnt rubbing there....??????????????

Std 12" steel ?? if so they are designed for a mini with an extra 1" track (aka disks) on each side... how close are they on the rear or do you have spacered drums ?

are tie bars supposed to be perfectly straight because i have looked at mine and both have a slight bend in them both in identical places. look like hey are ment to be that way but having looked at after market stronger tie arms they are all very straight?????

Tie bars are supposed to be straight yes. I had the same problem on my old mini. I just stuck a new set of tie bars on there.

As for curing the problem. Either source a set of spacer's drums like on the back of the later minis. or Get yourself a 1" spacer kit and some extended studs. (Wouldn't recommend stud extensions)
