i've got a '93 British Open Classic Mini by the way
the problem is as follows. I bought my car two months ago and ecerything works except for one thing... the fuel gauge. I've never known it to work since my purchase a couple of months ago. It always indicates that my fuel level is zero. What could be the problem? I must remind you that i don't know anything about mending cars whatsoever.
Anyone any ideas?
thanx,

In the boot, have a look at the side of the fuel tank there should be a couple of crimped wires fiited to some terminals, remove these wires and using another bit of wire short the crimped terminals, if the fuel gauge now reads full then your sender unit is knackered, if the gauge doesn;t move then you have a wiring fault.
Hope this helps

Sorry to bother you with this probably rather easy-to-solve problem, but i don't seem to find the solution to my problem on the forum. Since i'm a very inexperienced mini driver i'd like to hear from you guys what i could do to fix my problem.

you have a bank of blocks that connect the front(main) wiring loom with the rear wiring loom, (which runs through the roof to the rear)
