hiya,

so, to tell if a head is unleaded or not you can find out from the valve seats, but i have also been told that there is a funny blob thingy on the corner of the head that indicates its been converted, is this a load of rubbish or is it true? it looks like a flattened rivet or something?

there is now way of knowing if a leaded head has been converted for unleaded by having the valve seats changed. unless you have had it done, there is nothing else done to heads while the valve seats are changed..
