Howzit Guys

My name is De Jean. I'm from Johannesburg,South Africa. I've been looking at you're forums for a while now,and you guys basically got me to get hold of a mini
and do some mods...


So,i got hold of a shell from one of my friends for nothing. He basically stripped it a few years back to rebuild,but gave up. The shells been standing outside for a while so rust has got the better of the floorpan,but it should be easy to fix.

Getting to the motor is another story. Here in SA theres not alot of vauxhall and vtec motors available,and the come at a price if you can get them. SO,is it possible to fit a golf 2.0 16v gti motor with a custom frame and has it been done yet??

I have attached a pic of the car just to show how much work is left!

Sounds like you've got quite a project on your hands.....not sure if a golf engine has been dome before....nor would i have the info about it i'm afraid.....but i'll bet it'd rocket!!

I do know the golf motors quite well,so that was my first choice. I got hold of a 2.0 16v last night. It looks neat. The only problem is that its fuel injected,but i'll see what will be the best option,fuel mangement system,or 2 weber sidies.

I'll post you guys some pics as i go on.

lol...umm not that much, just random phrases my friend's taught me and i have no idea how to spell them!
