Tracking out?

Had the tracking looked at today and it was a long way out and pulling to left.
the guy said it needed to be set at -1.6 on the fronts using his laser set up, the only problem is that when he did that the back end was so far out that it would be dangerous to drive.
he said he would try and get the backs and the fronts in line the best he could.
thet are now set at -2 and +2 on the front and on the back it reads 10.5 and 8.5 , he said this was the best he could do and the car was bent and needed a jig. charged me £20 for the pleasure and it still drives the same pulling to the left.
the point is i'm not a mechanic and I thought that having 4 wheel laser alignment on a mini was pointless, if he had just set the front to -1.6 would it not have driven better?
thanks for any help or advice you can give.

dont bother with a laser setup, just go for the good ole mirror on the front wheels jobbie. most tyre shops have these. had mine done for £15 about 2 weeks ago, and she drives loverly now!just looked back throught some old threads and cant find the answers im looking for, can someone put me right.

Four wheel laser alignment aligns the front wheels with the back. So it's important the overall condition of your rear suspension and trailing arm is good.
Try a different station, see if you get the same results. It is unlikely you'll need a jig job unless your car has had a smash.
