Hi all, am hoping someone can help me out.

I basically have no front drive train or suspension, just the subframe, and want to start buying parts to build this up. I need to get the front wheels back on so I can transport the shell easier.

However I cant find details as to what basic parts are needed to build the front suspension. I'm not after anything fancy at this stage, just the basics. On top of that I need some diagrams to show me which parts goes where, connect to what etc.

Does anyone know of any list that exists or has any diagrams???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

All the Mini specialists publish their own parts manuals. These generally have detailed exploded diagrams of all major assemblies along with part numbers for everything. Coupled with a genuine Rover workshop manual this essentially forms a set of assembly instructions for most of the car.

In a nutshell, to get wheels on and rolling, for a disc brake setup.

Subframe mounts.
Large turret bolts. (If later type subrame)
Upper suspension arms.
Upper sespension arm pivot assembly + bushes.
Lower suspension arms.
Lower suspension arm pivot assy + bushes.
Tie bars.
Tie bar bushes.
Hubs.
Wheel bearings.
Suspension cones.
Suspension trumpets, or Hi-Lo's.
Knuckle joints.
Steering arms.
Steering rack.
Steering column assy and wheel might help, or subst the wheel for two pairs of mole grips lol.
Track rod ends.
Outer CV joints.
Discs.
Wheel studs.
Wheel nuts.
+ those front plate type things the wheel studs are attached to that I can never remember the name of.

I probably missed something, but I think that's all absolutely required for just a rolling shell.
