mt 6x9's have suddenly lost their bass! they used to have loads and i was well pleased with them, but now they dont. i thought the head unit had gone, and wanted a new one any way, so i got a new one, but the problem still occours. if i set the ballance to one side the speaker has bass, and same if i change to the other side, but when its equally balanced, it doesnt like it. could it be the wiring, as this all styed the same when i changed the hu ova. any one else had the same problem?

This is very easy to solve, you're speakers are whats called out of phase.
What happens is when one speaker is pushing out the other is pushing in which causes the speakers to cancel each other out, this results in no or very little bass and a slightly echoey sound.
So how do you solve it?
Just swap the polarity (+ and -) on one of the speakers, it doesn't matter which one. This should now put you're speakers 'in-phase' and bassy again.
let me know if it solves it
