Right then,

Biggav, cheers for that, that is why i didnt know whether it was worthwhile buying a new needle based on a software package or just turn up with the current one and take it from there..

..Jimmyarm, thank you, thats what i assumed but wasn't 100% on it obviously.

Vmaxscart....i'm sure they would be planting silly ideas of supercharging in my head, but interesting to know where they are, might give them a call.

43mpg, that would be nice!!!

I do about 100 miles to £10 and I run a 998, 12G295 head and twin 1.25" carbs, 1.75" peco

That's about 43 to the gallon!!!!!!! Not a lot wrong with that!!

That not arround town and not flying about a steady 50. I will have to check it as it seems too good or I'm not driving it hard enough

just bare in mind that you either want performance or economy... i don't think there is a happy medium, well there wouldn't be for me, thats why i need 2 tanks of petrol and a big can of nitrous!!!!

Just to throw a spanner in the works..... what final drive you got??? you could consider a longer ratio which would give you more spins of the wheel per turn of the engine, you loose acceleration performance....

I'm planning on a 2.76:1 (already have it) as i'm mostly using the car for long distances and not much track action... though thats what the nitrous will be for!!!!

Carefull with the giggle gas and a 2.7:1 diff. The torque hit from the gas can cause premature failure of the box. Baisicaly you are making the car appear heavier to the gearbox and stressing it out :withstupid:

Well i have seen what needle i currently have and it is a BBW....which seems very rich when compared with the standard needle for 1275A+ which i believe to be BDL?

Can you use WINSU in reverse? i.e. start with a needle and let it tell you want kind of spec engine it would suit?

Biggav, standard FD of 3.44 AFAIK, i appreciate you make a choice between economy and performance, but this is just ridiculous as its hardly tuned really.

i'll see how the testing goes with the 3.44:1 i can reduce the nitrous on the controller.
