Hello There,

I currently have a Mini Cooper 52 plate, and at the moment it has standard cooper wheels on it, i wish to upgrade these wheels but just wondering whats the largest wheels i could fit under the arches without having to grind them down??

Many thanks in advance

Chris

Well when you buy the Cooper S add-on pack. You are supplied with Genuine BMW 18" wheels. So I guess thats a guide to go by. You can easily get 18" on without any grinding.

Might be advised to get it lowered if your chucking huge wheels on it though or it will look like a roller-skate!

Dont wish to sound rude, nor start a Bini vs Mini debate, but you mite find a 'new mini' forum more informative. Binis are a touchy subject on here, and they're not really well catered for.

They are only a touchy subject because everybody on this forum is far too opinionated.

We got a BMW Mini in work the other day which had 19s on. I didn't do any work on it, so didn't really see if any arch work had been carried out.
I guess if you get the profile low enough, you could get any reasonable sized tire on to be honest.

Remember that tires for 18" wheels are going to be more expensive than tires for 17" or 19" wheels.

Am trying to remember the name of the member on here who has a cream/black BINI riding on chrome wheels, they look a bit bigger than normal.... Anyone remember for me?

He has a proper mini too?! ;) ;)

I've seen 20" wheels... a company here in the US makes special fitments to get 20's onto small cars... TIS or "Twenty Inches Strong"
