I've misplaced my Haynes - can someone give me the rundown on what order to remove the exhaust system?
Jack up the front, etc...
I've got a new Maniflow system coming to replace the old system that's currently fitted - and I'm going to have a go fitting it myself!

You can JUST about get the whole thing off without jacking the car up (..or did I have mine on the wall. Can't think now)
Work it like this.
1) Undo front exhaust clamp. (then jack up car! Axel stands monument)
2) undo the gearbox exhaust mount. Place bricks under exhaust at this point.
3) Undo middle exhaust mount (front on rear subframe, renew it for the next exhaust)
4) Undo rear "bobbin" just mount. Then the exhust will be held up by you and the bricks. Now wrangle it to the floor.
5) Via much twisting and jiggling either pull the exhaust from the front, or rear. I suggest front.
6) Cup of tea must now be administered to self.
7) Engine bay, remove carb. Might be a paint to do as the gaskets will hold it.
8) Place carb to one side.
9) Undo manifold nuts. 1/2 spanner, 5 in total.
10) Remove manifold.
Done.....ish.

Right-o. Cheers for that. I'll have a go (although the current exhaust looks rusty enough it'll just crumble when I start pulling it around!).
The carb's out already, I'm cleaning it at the mo', so that's one point already done. And yes, the gasket WAS a pain.

It's a pig of a job but once your done it's all good.
My advice is find a small wall (two bricks high or so) and park one side of the car on that. Thats what I did when I fitted El Gordo's RC40 and removing the old systems. Nice and simple.
