Thinking of getting a St George Flag painted onto my roof, or doing it myself...

bodywork's great so can I just paint straight on? Anyone else done it? Recommend any types of spray/primer/methods? No sunroof so that makes it simpler!

You can do it but a word of warning , dont ever come to this part of Wales , the locals dont like forien flags on mini roofs , they take it as a personal insult , if you parked it up when you returned it would be parked on its roof or at least jumped on

Lol, I was thinking of getting a Union Flag put on, but it's sorta common really... no disrespect to the Welsh Scottish or N Irish (or scousers!!! :) ) but I'm English. Then again it could limit being able to sell it on in future!

I worked in wales last year actually, went down with an England car flag stuck on my van, didnt get anything done to it, except a verbal but jokingly disapproval from some woman! I quite like the welsh, they're a friendly bunch :)

If you want to go down that route, probably better and cheaper to get a vinyl flag for about £30..
Easy to put on and if you get bored of it or decide to sell the car you can remove it.. no painting needed.

Better still put a white rose on your roof to show off OUR true colours.

Alan..

I thought vinyls were only the red cross? So only good if your roof is already white...

May be wrong :)
