Hi!

Im very pleased i finally managed to find a decent Mini forum.

Ive been having a look through some of the posts and you guys seem like a really nice bunch of people.

Anyway, im Steve and i have a Mr Bean replica. :)

It was my first Mini, and i have really grown to like it.

Ive always had big cars in the past, Sierra, Carina, Laguna, Scorpio etc.. but its just completely pointles nowadays with the cost of everything.

I found this Mini in someones garden. It used to be blue, but i thought i'd like something abit different. :)

Its taken the best part of a year to get it this far, and its basically complete to the screen used car.

Stuff ive done include:

Full respray in Austin Citron green - There was alot of research involved with the colour. Originally i was told it was applejack, but it was far too dark. I contacted a few people on the net, and also Corgi. We had a colour matched up with a sample and it turned out to be Citron.
Respray bonnet matt black
Black interior door cards
Black interior trim, dash tops etc
Grey seat covers
Red rear light covers
Slatted black radiator grille
Chrome bumpers front and rear
Chrome door mirrors
Cooper S brake conversion
10" wheels with hub caps and trim rings
Leyland bonnet & boot badges
9" gate bolt with padlock for the door
New radiator, alternator, exhaust, ball joints, cv joints, number plates
Original steering wheel

Now i THINK thats about it? Ive tried to make it look as accurate as possible, even down to the paintjob with imperfections that the actual Bean Mini's had. They used several in filming, so ive mainly based this one on the car used for the 'Armchair on the roof' scenes, as thats probably everyones most familiar recollection.

Just before anyone asks Yes there is a teddy inside and yes i can take the steering wheel off lol!

So anyhow, enough babbling from myself....

Its great to meet you! :dontgetit:

On with the pics.

I've always thought of doing a mr bean lookalike...

i've settled with the mayfair and a cooper lookalike instead... (yes, to those who know, the park lane plans have changed AGAIN!)

Welcome to the group :)

Regards

Tom
