Today was another early start, we had to get to the ferry by 11:15 and didn't want to take any chances.
We had the same group for the convoy:
We managed to get all 3 minis in all 3 lane of the motorway!! (Unofficial Italian Job display team!!)

On the ferry we enjoyed a nice cold pint and a tosted sandwich. We chatted till we reached Dover.
Back in Blighty:
We then drove to Brighton and as the route passes right near James flat we (James, Matt, J, Dave, Mark and my good self) all stopped by and had a quick break.
We then set off again and as we got into Brighton we caught up with some other minis and ended up right behind the MiniWorld mini with the Mini pickup right behind us. (We had srt of lost the 3M lads by then but they ended up just a bit further infront of us).
We had great fun driving right by the seafront beeping all the way! :grin:
We parked up and got into our room and we were so tired we went to sleep for a hour.

Ive just realised I didnt tell you guys about project Tash
Well the idea was that some of the guys (including James and I) didnt shave and for the final dinner at Brighton we had to have a tash. The idea was that we would give the people that went through with it money, which would go to the NCH.

So James and I got ready for the final night and went down to the meal both sporting a beautiful tash.
When we got down to the bar we meet Matt and J and a few drinks. They both looked as beautiful as James any myself and Matt was sporting a lovely goatee.
We then meet the other guys anf the total for Project Tash was 6:
James, Myself, Matt, Andrew (the ozzie), Dave and Mark.

As Matt and J had to fly back to America early on Sunday morning they had to leave the party at about 1am so we saw them off and hopefully they had a safe trip back to the states and the pickup is being prepared to be shipped to them.
Hopefully the guys will be on the forum soon and Matt will post his exploits of racing his BMW mini and the restoration work on his pickup!!

Amazing story of the night:
Dave one of the 3M guys meet his wife at Brighton (he had done the run in her mini but she hadnt gone on the run as she was pregnant) she was about 2 weeks due on the night but..... but..........
Yes youve guessed it, at about 9pm she wasnt feeling 100% so off to Hospital they went. At 2:30 am sunday morning just as we were off to bed we recived a text.
Yes, another addition the mini community was born!!!!!!!!!!! :grin:
