Well, I finally took the plunge.. Took the advice on board on what alarms were recommended.. Then spoke with the bank manager.. *sigh* SOOO I ended up with a microscan an213 (one i'd looked at on fleabay). Now fitting the alarm seems perfectly straight forward to me.. Except the actual immobiliser circuit... I've read somewhere (could have been here mind!) that putting the immobiliser on the starter circuit is pretty pointless as it can still be bump started?? (If I'm wrong don't shoot me it's already been a long week!)

If thats the case.. as I have a 1 circuit immobiliser, what other circuit could I cut into? It's a fairly standard 92 BOC, with mechanical fuel pump (so cancels out using that :lol: ) any advice (or pm's as it's a security issue) gladly received!

Might be an idea, that the person that does know can PM the above people rather than have it displayed publicly on the forum. Who knows... potential theives could be reading this.

:shifty: the information is quite readily available on the internet anyway..

The usual manufacturers locations are;

ignition feed
starter motor direct feed
off the ecu

So you should be able to use one of those at least...
and to help try and hide the wiring... use some self amalgamating tape *stuff the looms normally wrapped in*
