Have a butchers here, thats about as much info as you'll be able to get without paying for information from BMH.

Also, please turn caps off. >_<

Maybe asking MiniSport where the docs are would be a good idea?

I'm not really understanding the sequence of events?

I'm assuming you bought the car off Ebay from MiniSport, and that you've picked it up from them already? At which point you should have filled in the new keepers supplement of the V5, as well as the new keepers details section and signed and dated the V5. You keep the New Keepers supplement and Mini Sport should have sent off the rest. If you have the New Keepers supplement you may use this (within 6 months from the date of sale) to tax your car, as well as apply for the V5 without having to pay for the 19 pound charge.

When did you buy the car?

They could just be in the post so to speak and the SORNED status doesn't always show up on some searches anyway.

If it isn't taxed, make sure you get a SORN form sent off ASAP. Once the change is 'in the system' they'll be on to you if it's not taxed or SORN.

Well..... recent experience has shown that V5c's are sent out pretty rapidly...

When I bought the Mitsubisi the V5c was with me in less than two weeks, and I picked up a Mini on the 14th and the V5c arrived yesterday...

They can't fill it in, YOU have to be present, for a start you need to sign the V5!

Can I butt in quickly on this one? (Sorry johnbot429!)

I was nosing at the DVLA link and the vehicle status for mine shows as "Unlicensed with Keeper Change". I still haven't received the new V5 for my Mini that we picked up over a month ago now - presumably that status means that the previous owner has finally sent the new details off to the DVLA and I should get receiving it soon then?

Ta!

Ali
