Has anyone got anything fibre glass on their mini I need a question answering.

I jusy want to know if the paint is prone to cracking? Or is it the same as painting a steel sell?

Cheers

Always make sure the fibreglass is completely dry and free from moisture, as gelcoat is porous and if any moisture is trapped underneath the topcoat, it'll try escaping, and form small bubbles under the paint. Also always etch prime or apply plastic primer to the bare fibreglass, and apply the paint in light coats, letting it dry between coats, so the gelcoat can breathe, otherwise you'll end up with lots of tiny holes in the paint. Prime and paint using the same materials you would on any other metal panel.

Pete.
