Im looking at upgreading my car at about December.
I cant decide what to do, either:
1400 16V red top Turbo in my mini, or a 205 1.9 GTi.
I have had my mini for 2 years now, and I love it to bits, but later this year I will want something more competitive.
Whats your opionins?
Thanks, Chris.

Didnt know they did the 'red top' in 1400?
I'd go with the Pug, theyre rapid. But arnt the 1600's more tunable? And a little more fun to drive?

hey chris
the redtop vauxhall engine wasnt a 1400 it was a 2 litre found in the calibra's, the 1400 is found in corsa's and astra's i think, you can turbo this engine but as i owned a 206 with the 1.9gti engine and gubbins that made it better then normal gti's i would say go for the gti!

I put red top because I cant spell Vauxhall (I think thats right)
Also thats the colour I would paint the rocker cover.
I Help out at AB motorsport and so 205's are avaliable to me and there are lots of parts for them. I love 205's and have always wanted one.
I would have a 1.9 on a 1.6 box with a LSD, throttle bodys forist suspenstion, Sefty Devices S22 cage and my seats and harnesses.
Chris.

id go for the 205 but it all depends on the class, if its a up to 1600cc class id go for the 1.6 as i think it would be a lot more competitive against the other cars, plus i love 205 gti's
